History and Mission
They say change is good. But in our case, it’s been incredible.
Over a decade ago, AbTech Industries, Inc. started as an environmental technologies firm providing commercial companies, industries and municipalities the ability to address the issues of stormwater pollution and urban runoff and to assist in compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit requirements.
Our original company, AbTech Pacific, began as a west coast distributor of AbTech Industries’ products. In addition to the line of AbTech Industries’ filters and skimmers, AbTech Pacific also offered trash exclusionary devices, erosion control products and services, and complete maintenance of its inserts and filters.
With our excellent staff and wide range of products we grew quickly, evolved and diversified. It wasn’t long before we had outgrown our identity as simply AbTech Pacific. We decided that our original name no longer encompassed the broad range of products and services we were able to offer our clients. We needed a new name and identity to better communicate who we had become and what we now stood for.
With that in mind, we proudly changed our name and company to Hydrophix.
Although we continue to market the incredible Smart Sponge® line of products, we have expanded our services to include a full range of stormwater compliance consulting and, in addition, offer something equally important in the way we do business...
Our Hydrophilosophy.
We recognize that water is the primary ingredient of life. While our major role is to provide solutions for erosion, waste and storm water issues, we add to that a keen understanding of the importance of clean water in our environment. As a result, we feel a tremendous responsibility in our role as stewards of this valuable resource and will always provide innovative and effective methods to maintain its integrity.
