The first stop on this treatment train is to prevent contaminants from entering into the stormwater system. To do this, Hydrophix offers erosion control services and exclusion devices, which are deployed at the entrance of storm drains to keep sediment and debris street-side for street sweeper collection. Once the water enters the storm drains, Hydrophix offers filters and vault systems which not only filter debris, but also contain the Smart Sponge® technology to absorb hydrocarbons and bacteria thereby preventing these contaminants from making it to the end of the pipe and being discharged into waterways.
